The Ngaro people lived in this region around 9000 years ago, a short hike into the forest brings you to a protected and preserved example of wall art made by these relatives past. The inlet is believed to house the spirits of ancestors and at night, the elder folk believed that one can hear them calling out. The pastel blue water in this protected bay is a stark contrast to the bright colours on the reefs outside, and is a sublime anchorage at night. For more on the inlet visit
